The process of decluttering the mind is more than just about removing the chaos; it is a purposeful quest to isolate what is important and worth your time. This shift gives you more peace and joy by eliminating the feeling of being overwhelmed and distracted by your surroundings. In the same way, any area has its boundaries, so too does the brain.   It’s hard to miss the red and pink adornments when Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. From around the start of the month, advertisements make a foray into the digital space displaying couples celebrating with chocolates, flowers and an array of jewellery. But what about the love we need the most? And that is loving yourself. Self-love is a cause and an occasion in and of itself, so this February, why don’t we turn Saint Valentine’s ideology of love into a month filled with self-love opportunities? Perhaps Valentine’s Day is the best holiday to consider oneself and “me” instead of “we”. In a society that glorifies love, the idea of being 'single' can feel disheartening.
