Recovery Fitness

The fitness industry has always focused on serious workouts, breaking barriers, and achieving personal goals. But as we have learned more about the human body, our focus has shifted to what happens after exercising. Recovery fitness is the newest addition to the post workout arsenal that needs to be emphasized. It completely shifts the objective of exercise into further healing and nurturing of the body during and post recovery. This does not mean it has developed overnight. For a long time, recovery was largely considered passive and left to a person’s rest period. As professional athletes and sports scientists began to promote the idea of active recovery, the general fitness community adopted this notion.
